Last week we announced our plans for UnStuckable in 2015.
Today we are sharing the list of 10 books to learn about yourself. Learning about yourself is the first step to stop doing what you think you are SUPPOSED TO DO and to start discovering what you’ve always wanted to do!
How did we pick these books?
Over 70 books have been recommended by our guests and members of our community since we launched our podcast last year.
We’ve curated the 10 books below to help you learn about different aspects of your yourself and from multiple perspectives. Turns out there is a whole bunch of stuff we all need to learn about ourselves we never realized!
If you plan to read any of the books please let us know.
We know you are tight on time.
We know you probably don’t have the time to read 70 books or probably even 10 books. Listening to 10 audio books would also take up a big chunk of your time!
We also know you’re probably tired of trying to piece together the knowledge, skills and habits you need to reach your goals from multiple sources.
So here’s what we are going to do . . .
First we have curated 10 amazing books about how to learn about yourself. (You’d be surprised how much we don’t really know ourselves!)
Then we’re going to read each book for you. We’ll also dive into topics inspired from what we’ve read in these books on our podcast.
To help save you time, we are going to summarize the key lessons and actions in each book into hour-long audio guides.
Finally we’ll create an overview audio guide summarizing our unstuckable perspective on the key lessons and actions gleaned from all 10 books in one hour!
If you finally want to figure yourself out, if you are tired of changing your job every two years, you are searching for your dream job, you want out of the corporate grind, want more freedom or desire more control over your life, it all starts by educating yourself about your needs, fears, strengths, motivations and habits.
Here are the 10 books for learning about yourself.
- The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
- Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill
- Start With Why by Simon Sinek
- StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath
- Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman
- Body of Work by Pam Slim
- Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg
- The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
- How to Train a Wild Elephant by Jan Chozen Bays
- Gifts Differing: Understanding Personality Type by Isabel + Peter B. Myers
You can listen to this weeks episode to hear why we picked each book.
Here’s what you can expect from us over the next 12 weeks as we build our first audio course.
First, we’d love to hear from you about what you think you’d like to learn about yourself. Please email us at email@example.com We know that can be a very personal question. We will completely respect your privacy, but your honesty will help us better understand how to help you attain personal freedom.
Each week we will focus on a specific book and theme on the podcast and blog. We’ll share some of the lessons we are learning from the books by having thought provoking and fun conversations with experts, authors and members of our community on the show.
Let’s become unstuckable!
